When we were challenged by the residents of a stylish College Park home to re-imagine the life of a modest pool shed, little did we know where the journey would take us. At demolition, we discovered cedar and heart pine and layers of old paint. We were able to salvage and upcycle about 90 percent of the original wood into a new industrial chic design. Built from the bottom up, the project encompassed multiple applications: drop slab, structural, doors, bar, sink install, plumbing, electrical, finishing work, accents. 

Through a close partnership with Factur, a one-of-a-kind fabrication lab and creative coworking space in Ivanhoe Village, we were invited to tap into our adventurous side with Red Bull for their #WingsAtWork event in corporate downtown Orlando. The mission? Propel a 21st century workforce out of the office and into a stimulating open-air environment that fosters creativity and productivity. Our role? Create 20+ aesthetically bold community stations and conference tables with organic wood design and graphic detail to help enable the ten-hour, 500-strong event. An adventure it was, from design conception to digital schematic and laser-etch design (via Illustrator) to pallet wood upcycle, pattern creation, and final assembly line style build.

When Social House asked us to help them create a warm and welcoming rustic environment to encourage social gathering, we were ready with the perfect solution: salvaged deck wood. What better way to set the stage for authentic community than to build from history, with character, and with a nod to sustainability. To further encourage community, giant social tables and drink rails were installed, each with blended pallet and deck wood, rivet-like accent screws, and a clear finish to maintain the natural aesthetic.

This timeless classic was requested by an inspiring young couple looking for a different way to remember their big day. We love this piece because it honors life's best moments. The 11x17 wooden memory book (available for any occasion in any standard paper size) was laser-etched on cover with names, date and custom graphic. The all-wooden hinge was cut on a CO2 laser and bound around natural parchment insert with brass cap screws. A matching storage box with leather straps completes the set.
